What is Coaching?

A life coach is a professional guide to help someone lead the life they want for themselves.  Coaching helps you clarify goals and get to a place of resolving the incongruent parts to your life.  Maybe you know you don’t like your job but aren’t sure what to do about it.  Perhaps you want to change careers, are ready to retire, or got laid off and know there is a next step but need to guidance getting to the other side of transitions.  A life coach might help you find balance in work and life or in health but does so through helping you clarify your strengths and vision for yourself.  A life coach is not a therapist and won’t ask about your past in order to process it.  Coaching is all about your present and future self.  A coach can help you identify self-sabotaging and self-defeating behaviors as barriers to you achieving your goals.

A coach helps you gain perspective on problems you have struggled with.  They can help you break negative patterns which seem to interfere with real success.  A coach can help you build a roadmap to achieving through honest feedback, finding ways to overcome obstacles, understanding yourself better and finally achieve goals you want in life.
